Question Front brake caliper rebuild-dust seal installation question

I bought the Subaru front caliper rebuild kit ($36.xx shipped, Liberty Subaru) After fiddling with the front dust seal installation for about 2 hrs,. I think there must be an easier way ...
I have been intalling seal on the back of the piston, then trying to tuck in the extended skirt.
Anyone have any tricks?

Re: Front brake caliper rebuild-dust seal installation question

Redoing them yourself does save some $$, for those who don't want to you can get "re manufactured" calipers from .brakewarehouse.com, $70.00 for the front and 35 for the rear. I just replace all four of mine for $222.00. (There is a core deposit you get back)

Re: Front brake caliper rebuild-dust seal installation question

I bought front reman calipers loaded (brakes included) from Autozone for less than $100 with the core.
