SVX off road concept ideas?
hey just for the hell of it, wat does anyone think of taking this luxury sport coupe and turning it into a suv type thingy? maybe jack up the suspension, throw some meaty tires and a bull bar? maybe a tow hitch on it just for kicks and giggles? anyone wanna "photoshop" an idea for a mean "SUX" lol (Sport-Utility-Xtreme!) lol

close! but i was thinkin of using a svx as a base for the concept... any ideas? would the stock suspension be able to have a lift kit on it? and would having a bull bar on the front make the front end too heavy on the svx?

That is on the brink of red neck. A rally car would be cool though.

That legacy is SVX powered man... EG33 tears it up!!!!
I had the idea of lifting my old teally when I was still trying to kill it. You would need blocks for the subframes and struts tops too. I wanted to build my own but decided it was not worth the effort. There is nothing available to do this kind of thing though Tom |

is it? thats kool! svx powered! lol but i was thinking keepin the body of it but i was wondering if that would be too much weight on the front.. throwin meaty tires and a 4 inch lift kit with a bull bar and a winch lol anyone wanna try to make a photoshop version that would be great! maybe end up like the bastard child of a jeep and a svx

One of my old bosses would take anything with 4 wheels, lift it up, and make into a mudding vehicle. I've seen things anywhere from a ranger with a 16" lift and 34-ish inch tires to a cavalier (early 90's) that'd probably roll right over my miata. The guy was nuts.

Ive been wanting to do this to one of the cars destined for parts, but I just dont have the heart. 60 into a tree or a alake kinda breaks things when it happens on a regular basis, and theres only so many junkyard svxi you can cut frame rails off of. Id stick to an older legacy beater just for parts availability sake

Check out "desertrunner's" car. That's about as close as I've seen, and he does test it out off road.
