Spend the next week or so researching through the Mod Forum.

But I don't think a 130+ increase in HP is gonna be cheap.

Wasn't someone talking about a V8 swap?

Well, the CHEAPEST way is always nitrous.

If you wanted to do it that way I'd tell you to get the ECUtune 2v7, a walbro255 fuel pump, (or equivalent) open up the exhaust, and a good direct port N2O setup. That would be the easiest and cheapest, but...

How long do you want to drive the car, anyway? lol

This is the reason why I always told people I never want any n0s. Everyone always told me n0s is the cheapest way to get that extra HP to put you over the top but if you want to drive your car for more than a handfull of sprays then n0s is the worst way to go. It will destroy a perfectly good engine REALLY REALLY fast. from what I have learned a ECU tune would probly be the cheapest way to go. You "CAN" try about 1/2 to 1 gallon of meth on ur next fill up but make sure you put in the methonol before your gas. The manufacture book states that you can do a 1/20 meth/gas mix and will be fine for temp use. I wouldnt rec. doing that often but maybe do it like on rod run, race day, or to see what your car can do. Best of luck

I know people that have run large shots of nitrous on smaller (stock) motors than ours and have made tons of track runs and such with no ill effects. It's not necessarily how much you're putting in, it's how your're getting it there, and what you do to safeguard your motor.

This is a broad statement but...I know people who've turbocharged their cars on 4 psi and blow a motor and others run 8 just fine.

That's kinda what I'm saying. If you take care of things and look out for warning signs your motor will take quite a beating and still run fine.

i havent been here in a while but there were quite a few people running 50 and 75 shots for quite some time and no ill effects. I think the only people who blew engines were either from running 100+ shots or on tired 150xxx mile engines that probably weren't in too good of shape. Not positive just what i feel i remember.
