Some guys watch 'Pimp my ride", Unique Whips, Monster Garage, etc and DREAM!! I watch them and make a 'shopping list' for TOOLS!! I am SOOOOO glad the Scott has decided to 'hang out' at 'Huckleberry's place'!!

My Son has been such a pleasure!! He just turned 21 last december. He has had 3 vehicles. First one was an old worn out Chevette.( he got it on his own). When it died, I gave him a 95 Olds 4 door. He build 'ground effects., put a dvd player in the dash, neons, tunes, wheels, etc and NEVER asked me for a dime! He had a JOB!!! He never got any tickets, crashed it or NUTHIN'!! When it fried the wires and died, I co-signed the note so HE could pay for the S-10.
He has NEVER been late on a payment and has done THOUSANDS of dollars worth of MODS to the truck!!
It gives me great pleasure to 'co-build' this lil' truck!!. We are comparing ideas, but HE is going to drive it, so he has the final decision on what we will be doing. ( so far, ALL of my ideas have met with his approval)!

My last 'idea' was to put a design on a piece of tin that we could cut out with the plaz and use for the back window of the cab. It will be a 'power' window that slides to the side, since the configuration of the cab will not allow it to go down. The original back seat will be retained. It will extend into the bed area, so it won't be a good place for passengers, but will be more of a 'bunk' that a guy could knock off a few ZZZZZZs.

The metal cover will, I HOPE be 'water-tight', so we won't have to seal off the bed area from the cabin.

OK!! WE are NUTZ and have a plaz and a mig!!

Thank you for noticing that I am a NUT with a MIG!!

I just put a few pics of the Rampage project in the bucket. I have more, but got a 'server eror' message, so I will try later.

I can't wait to see the final product, Jerry! I love your lack of fear when trying something new. I had an '80 Plymouth Horizon with the 1.7 VW engine and 4spd tranny. Might I suggest replacing the stock joke of an aircleaner with an open element filter and opening the exhaust with a 1.5" custom from the headers back. I could get rubber in the first 3 gears and could pull 6000 rpm's in 4th gear. Factory redline was a measly 5600 IIRC and since the speedo topped at 85 mph (claimed top speed for factory was only 86mph by one of the car mags at the time) but with that tranny, 4th gear worked out to 20mph for every grand on the tach. Worked out to just shy of 120mph on mine. I onced raced a charger 2.2 when I had 3 buddies in the car with me and I smoked him. Boy was that guy pissed...LOL. I also put KYB high pressure gas shocks on all corners and man could that car take jumps after that! Would have made an awesome rally car. Stayed balanced in the air and always landed like a cat on all 4 wheels. My God, your little TC3 brings back so many good memories...thanks!

I was poking around your photobucket and saw you were putting an SVX front suspension in a '30 Willy's. ROFL! I can't wait to see that job as it progresses. That's some awesome stuff!!

Too hot to work outside today so I dug out a 'Blast from MY past'.
I have been neglecting an ol friend. He's been in storage for about 10 years.

61 Ford ragtop I drove in High school. (The 35th class reunion was last year!) It needs some bodywork after the 300K of playing. Interior looks like I load it with kids and dogs and drive to the river. ( Cause that's what I did)
The old 352 turned over today, but the battery was too weak to light it off. I'll go back out this evening and try again. (Pics heading for the bucket.)

It's 95 degrees in the shade today!! all the projects are sitting in the SUN!

The Willys has the SVX front end welded in now, I have to work out the strut problem in a way that the front fenders fit. I will be using the SVX rear too. I can build perches and bolt it in though. All measurements look like it will go right in!

Scott has a lot of ideas for the TC3. I'm sure that the exhaust and air cleaner will be gone soon. They were the first things that left his S-10.
Thanks for the kind words.

Heard a rollback running next to my garage today! Since I had NOT ordered a rollback, I went to investigate. My neighbor was cleaning out all of his 4X4 stuff to make room for his new VW collection.
When the driver opened the door, (to my HORROR), It was the local MORON!!!

Since I KNEW that the 4X4's were all in garages and I KNEW that the MORON couldn't UNLOAD a car without smashing the doors in on the ONLY car parked within 100 FT! ( yea, he smashed the LAST car that he towed for ME), I had very little confidance that he could actually remove these vehicles without SERIOUS property damage.

Step one, I moved ALL of my stuff from the danger zone.
Then I asked him if he had a 'snatch block'. He said that he didn't have one with him. I RAN to my garage to see if I had a 'spare' to loan him.( I KNEW that this was an IMPOSSIBLE task without one!)
I have had snatch blocks for many more years than I owned tow trucks.

He said that he could do it without one, and proceded to PROVE that he could NOT!

Step TWO, I asked him to use the bed to PUSH the truck away from the wall that he was fixin' to RIP OUT.

The neighbor asked him to take the other one FIRST and GET his 'snatch block' when he went back to base. He confessed that he DIDN"T have ONE!

I asked my neighbor to bring his F-350 to the scene. I attatched a chain to the F-350 and attatched the J hook to the cable, acting as a 'snatch block' and allowing the truck to be removed without ripping down the wall.

( Now this guy has been involved in "Towing and Recovery" for 20 YEARS, and has NOT invested $50. In the MOST BASIC piece of 'recovery' equipment!!)

I told you that he was a MORON!!

The 4x4 guy gave me a rollbar for the TC3 and a lot of other metal that will help the 'creativey' flow in the garage!

( Bringing the last post 'full circle')

I guess Scott doesn't want it as bad as I do! He has not called for a week!

I told him that I was not going to build it for him, I was going to help HIM build it. That still stands. Must have a new girlfriend!

If I build it, I will OWN it!
