No SVX please, we're British.

Randy or Chris,

If I need a good copy of the network logo, so we can have a large card or print made for photo work, tomorrow or Friday, can you guys send me a clean printer friendly copy??

Thanks in advance

Joe

I'll drink to that, but it'll be Malt rather than Sour-mash for me

Phil.

Malt licker

Yep, malt for me too. Randy won't mind what we drink for him. However, if there is Blanton's in stock, we could try the sour mash, and save the good malt for later.

Just to clarify. Kentuckians don't drink "sour mash." That's the Tennessee boys. We drink "bourbon" (named after Bourbon County, Kentucky where the Kentucky variety originated, which was named after Bourbon, France) and it ain't bourbon unless it was distilled in Kentucky.

Malt's fine. As a matter of fact, Joe, I thought of you over our Memorial Day holiday here as I slammed back a few Guinness and some Killian's Irish Red. Of course I realize that Killian's Irish Red is about as Irish as chop suey, but, it's not a bad brew for a Yankee concoction.

Ching ching!

Other than Kentuckians, and Tennessians; we colonials from the hoi p'loi prefer single malts from the Scottish Isles section of the UK.

We have a few new varieties of beer in Ireland, and I could have sworn Killians was one but I will recheck. What makes you think it is an American concoction?

And is chop suey not Irish? You are bursting a lot of cultural bubbles here Randy.

Lawrence without a Trace,

You obviously have not partaken of our high quality Irish Whiskey, Jameson, Powers, Midleton Very Rare. We invented the brew, and our bloomin' Scots Celtic cousins ran away with the recipe.

Magnanimous to a fault, we forgive them as long as they keep making it right. And sending the odd drop over.

Joe
Tried and trussed it

Please do re-check. I remember being extremelty disappointed, after I had bought a sixer of the stuff, reading on the bottle "Produced by Pabst Brewing Co. Milwaukee WI." I had thought I'd purchased an import.

Don't tell the other Irishmen about chop suey. It'll be our little secret. Also, don't tell the Italians that spaghetti is Chinese. That could cause an international incident.

I enjoy a good Scotch on occasion, however, prefer my "smoke" in the form of tobacco (another fine Kentucky product ).

Meanwhile, I do prefer Irish over Scotch, although I've only had Bushmills (imported to the US from Ireland exclusively by a Kentucky distiller/distributor -- Brown Forman ).

If you didn't know any better, you'd think that Kentucky was a state full of lushes. So, Larry, when you movin'?

Significant Technical Input
And here I thought Killian's was brewed by the boys in Golden, Colorado. Are you sure? Maybe you were drinking Red, White and Blue when you read that label.

I was a little sad to hear earlier this week that the UK meet was this weekend - it didn't leave me enough time to hit my contacts up for something 'special' from Maker's Mark or BF. Maybe next time...

You are correct sir, and I am mistaken:

http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/rate_results/306/909/

I know, however, there was some beer that I thought was imported but was a Pabst product. Now it's gonna bother me 'til I figure it out. Guess I'll have to go out and buy several cases to discover which one.

Irish red

So this is Coor's heavy, then?

There is a local beer here with a similar name, I will find out what it is.

Most of the new beers we get here have gone PC. A bit like whiskey all diluted to 70 proof, the new beers are all 4.1 alcohol. I am not a total alcoholic, but all my favourite brews are in the 5.6 to 6 and a half range. The alcohol is part of the flavour after all, and most alcohol light beers are also light on flavour.

I will stick to my German and Belgium brews until the Irish get it right.

Joe
