Hard to believe the same company produced the original Javelin in ('67-68?); one of the slickest & understated cars of the whole original Detroit pony show.

Come on guys, any car that lets you change the plugs without even opening the hood can't be all bad.

Hehe, looking at the color selection, you'd think they were geering up to use them for IROC.

Davey,

The picture you have is the prototype of the SAAB 93. This was really a very aerodynamic car for its time. It had a full belly pan for under the car aerodynamics. A first. It is very similar in appearance to my 1967 SAAB Model 96 Monte Carlo.

The styling is akin to the followg:

Take a hard boiled egg. Slice it in half, lengthwise.
Add 4 small tires to the flat side. You now have the basic styling of the original SAAB.

That's interesting to know. I thought the Saab 93 only came out recently.

Ugly jeep type thingy

While we're talking about ugly cars, anyone remember the Volkswagon Thing? I didn't think so...

P.S. Compared to a lot of the other cars in it's class I think the Suzuki is a lot cooler and ballsier than the Echo, etc. although if I won one I would definately sell it the next day (after I beat the crap out of it with a stick).

How presumptuous of you. :P

Yes, I know of the Volkswagen Thing. It's got character - I found one in VT that I wanted.

My grandfather brought one home, as a joke, and told my mom it was for her. If I remember her reaction correctly, she cried.

That's cruel.

My brother's best friend(growing up) had one. He loved it.
