Yeah, man, keep on truckin'

Very glad to hear you are on the mend Jerry. Keep following doctors' orders for the present, you need to be sure that retina sticks where it's supposed to be.

My wife Ann had an episode in the recent past where this "middle-aged" spontaneity threatened her sight. It was stressful to endure, as all she could do was watch for the symptoms, and report back if it worsened. Luckily, it never did worsen, it seemed to self heal.

So we are all glad to be hearing your good news.

Joe

Jerry,

The bubble which is concerning you will probably be gas which as yet has not dispersed, and if your doctor says all is OK you should relax.

You have had a bad experience but let us hope a good fix will be the end result.

Best wishes, Trevor. *<) Big nose, one eye. (Not one eyed.)

Why should today be any different?

Glad to hear that you are feeling better, Jerry.

But how does chopping wood, entering shooting contests, pushing cars, moving furnature, hanging out in the freezing rain, stacking wood etc., qualify as taking it easy?

That IS taking it easy to what I normally do! For the record, Jayson stacked the wood and there were no cars to push.

At least I did use the LITTLE saw! I might have pulled something starting the Husky, since it has a few extra degrees of timing now. Hopped-up chainsaws, who-da-thunk-it from a self-proclaimed Redneck!

(The furnature was light)

I go back to work on monday and from what Jamie told me, NOTHING was done right by the guys that put the data IN! She said, " You have a LOT of work to do." WAHHHHH!

At least they know that it would be HARD to replace me!

I SURVIVED the first day at work!! It was tough. I had only spent about 45 minutes on the puter over the last 2 weeks, and had to stare into the big eye of the 'cyclops' for a full shift today!

I am trying to build up my 'streingth' so I am responding to all things that I care about in a single night!

I don't have to be back at work for 11 hours, so I have time to 'recover'.

I set the 'brightness' as low as possible and made the 'fonts' big enough to read from arms leingth. I got November cleaned up and have a couple weeks to get december done, (as it happens)

5 people rely on my 'data' to get their work done.

There were 10 cards piled on my desk when I got there today!! I guess they really DO miss me when I'm gone.

Thanks for that, I am realy looking forward to it. They thought the workload/hours may scare me off, that was funny.. I am supper excited about the fact that this job is ONLY 9-5ish with some overtime! far less than I'm used to!

Sorry to hear what happened Jerry. My sister tells me you need to get back to the dr ASAP! Sit still and try to keep it closed, I know it sucks to hear this, but you need to be immobile until you get back in. make sure they know what has happened.

Kinda hard to find Dr's on Christmas weekend! (at least anyone that can fix THIS kinda thing.) I wore an eyepatch most of today. (That's why OT came and got me to look at my heads.) There is no Dr within 75 miles of here that does this kinda work, but 75 miles in either direction, there is LOTS.

I sure am glad that I don't have to go 75 miles to find a 'subi-guy'!

Funny thing, the Dr that has been working on my eye has an office about 1/2 mile from the dealership where I got OT's info.!!!

(The salesman gave me his contact info!)

Jerry, Keep the faith, this too can be fixed. I had both my lenses replaced due to cataracts the doc believes was caused by the Florida sunshine. The first thing I noticed since then is how sensitive I am to bright light. Wear a good pair of sunglasses every time you go out, especially if there is snow on the ground. My thoughts are with you.

Yeah, mine too Jerry.

Get a doc ASAP, and keep up the fight.

You know that parrot will irritate you after a while.

Rootin' for ya.

Jerry, on the basis of what you have been reporting and based on my factual experience, the doctor you are using is not up to scratch. The specialist surgeon I have been using, has given me his mobile phone number, with instructions that if anything untoward happens, at any time, I should contact him immediately, day or night.

Everything involved is very much made worse if not attended to very promptly. Immediate attention can be vital. Do not place the medical profession on a pedestal. You are a paying customer with special needs. A second opinion could be a very wise move. Your sight is priceless.
