What Production Year is your SVX?
What production year is your SVX? Not the date marked on the manufacture plate thingy.

I have a '92 Pearl White & Black LSL w/ Touring Package.
I also have a '97 Bordeaux Pearl LSI. The poll only let me vote once. I voted for the '92 first. I intended to go back and vote for my '97 but it wont let me. Therefore, this poll is not accurate and should be cancelled. This poll discriminates against multiple SVX owners. Sheeesh ! I get no respect ! Larry III |

Larry, go to Tools, Internet Options, and click Delete Cookies.
That should let you vote again. But you will have to log back in to any sites that you auto-login to.

2 SVX's? That's cool...
Do you find any major differences between your two SVX's (since they are at opposite ends of the production spectrum) in terms of build quality, reliability, etc?

I just got the '92 about a month ago. It now has 100,000 miles on it. I am going to bring it up to "Like New" condition. I am the original owner of the '97.
The differences and likes and dislikes are listed below: The '92 is definitely the faster car. It gets off the line much much quicker. The shifts are snappier. The '97 has 47,000 miles on it and is a smoother car. I think it is more elegant. [The difference between a Rolls and a Bently (when they were English )]. I hate the auto seat belts in the '92. I have hated them in all cars and blame the Feds not the car manufacturers. I don't like the door lock switch on the drivers door on the '92. I have to reach around myself (I am fat) to actvate it. It is awkward. It is on the shifter console in the 97. I have Yoko AVS dB tires on the 92. They are much, much quieter than the Dunlop SP-5000 tires on the '97. The Dunlops have a "blockier" tread pattern. I assume that they will be better in snow. There are wear & tear items on the '92 that I will replace. Afterall the car has 100,000 miles on it. It is now my daily driver. (It's one heck of a beater). When both cars go another 50k, I'll post an in depth report. Larry III |

We'll be waiting to hear from you Larry. It seems to me that the 92's are the most popular so far. That's what I drive. Are they really the fastest production year?? That'd be cool

If the information posted on Joe Spitz homepage is true, 1991/92 had the biggest production of any other year, at 5,180. 1993-3,859, 1994-1,666, 1995-1,801, 1996-1,111, and 1997-640. The total production for all years was 14,257.

I wish there was a yearly breakdown of the 1000 or so sales in Canada.

Yeah, I know it was a little harsh. That's why I said it was not to be offensive. I saw that on v6z24 and just remembered it when I saw the tension brewing.
