Alarm question?

I let my 96 sit for some time due to a broken radiator and eventually the battery drained and died. I finally got some free time and replaced the radiator and installed a new battery.

Now my alarm/key fob aren't working. The alarm switch now has a constant red light, but I am still able to turn it off at the switch. Do I just need to reprogram the alarm and my key fob? I tried searching for this topic but I was only able to find alarm reprogramming info.

Jose - Don't keep us wondering - were you able to reprogram and fix it? If not, did you get it fixed and what was done to fix it?

Alarm trouble

No, I wasn't able to get it to work. Seems like something might have happened to my alarm unit. Not sure what is going on with it. I tried following the reprogramming instructions but it appears that my key fob is not interfacing with the alarm unit. This totally bites now as my keyless entry feature also isn't working Any ideas ??? I going to try disconnecting the battery and start the whole process over again.

I'm still able to toggle the alarm on/off via the dash switch. Now when I turn it the switch to the on position, it stays lit with steady/constant red light. Before when working, the light would cycle "flash" on and off. Any ideas?

If you can't get it to work, it may be the unit itself that needs replacing. You can usually pick one of those up for $50 +. Good luck.

Okay now that the holidays are finally over and the relatives have left town, I now have some free time to play with my ride.

I'm going to try disconnecting the battery in the morning to see what happens. I'll also be keeping my fingers crossed hoping for a quick fix.
