Very LOUD rattling!

When I sit at idle for a bit I hear a very loud rattling noise coming from the back end of my engine. It is louder from behind each wheel well and its definately coming from the bottom back end of the engine. I figured it would be the heat shields, but when I get under the car and look neither one of the heat shields are rattling I even clamped them with a metal bracket. Any help on what else could be rattling??

Could be a cracked flywheel.

vibration/ noise...do you have a stethascope thingee like doctors? Or you can put the car in the air, and put a long screwdriver up to block/ tranny and listen for it. when you take it out of gear does it still make noise?

Okay, well its not the flywheel. I dont know how i didnt see it earlier when I was under the car. One of my heat shields is ridiculously loose and its causing all the ruckus. I guess I clamped the wrong one :/ Eh, sorry guess I should have done a bit more looking before I come scrambling to you guys; its just this network is my easy way out of finding whats wrong with my car without getting dirty Thanks for the replies
