SVX tires
Bridgestone Potenza all-season steel-belted radial 225/50VR16 are the recommended tire - what are suitable replacements as options to these tires - city travel in and around Denver, Colorado [goes without saying there are some slick conditions during the year] ???

Brert,
First welcome to the site. I have Pirelli PZero Nero's I have had them for 2 years in Minnesota and now on the twisty roads of PA. I love the traction I get in all weather. They are a little bad in deep snow but then we only have 6" of clearance. They are not that expensive. Hope this helps Steve

I hate these Pirelli's...they are terrible...the noisiest tires I've ever had. They only have about 5,000 miles on them and sounds like I have some type of new exhaust system on them.

Toyo makes a great replacement tire, quiet and good handling, not expensive but not cheap. Continental also makes a decent low price replacement tire. Given the rapidly changing driving conditions of Denver weather, why don't you ask a tire expert at The Tire Rack or Discount Tires in Denver? They can steer you to a good, all-purpose tire for your car. By the way, given that you drive in snow a goodly part of the year, you might consider going to a 55 series tire, slightly more narrow, better traction in heavy snow and less likely to hydroplane in the wet, AND usually cheaper that the 50 series. Good luck.

what make a great replacement tire is what ever costs more... thats the rule of thumb i go by and it seems to work no matter what the brand is
