Make sure you check back when you need to fix stuff.

Trust me, you'll need to fix stuff.

Be nice to the car, and congrats on your purchase.

This may not have been a great choice for a first car, because it is costly to maintain, but more important most other cars will SUCK in comparison.
If you lose this one, getting another car will become a difficult matter (unless you end up hating it).

Welcome to the site!

A word of warning...the Subaru dealerships in Canada will want to charge you $800 for a radiator. Your best bet is to order from the U.S.

You should be able to get an OEM radiator for around USD$300 or the PWR all aluminum radiator for around USD$500.

I believe you mean "You can drive it so fast, you'll get so many tickets, you'll lose your license!"

Actually the SVX was my first (and only) car. I've gotten four tickets (2 moving violations, 2 parking), and 3 of those 4 tickets were valid and my fault (the 4th was a parking ticket for not parking up to the pig's standard in a Wal-Mart parking lot).

So in other words, just drive responsibly

Hi, Congrat and so you're lucky to have such a nice car as your first
one.

Are you using Dunlop tires on your SVX?

Have fun with the car and drive carefully.

welcome to the fun/obsession that is the SVX. If you have the money to maintain your car, it will serve you well. Welcome to the forums too. This is the largest collection of SVX knowledge anywhere, so use this as a good resource. We love our cars, and will take them to our graves. Welcome and grats on the new obsession. lol

Welcome to the site and ownership of an SVX.

Your excitement about your car is the reason we all own one. I is great to see that after 14+ years the SVX can still excite new owners. How many other affordable cars can clam that.

Best of luck with her. Treat her nice and she will take care of you. And good luck not getting a ticket.

Steve

Congrats on your SVX! I wish I have had SVX for my 1st but I couldn't afford one that time... BTW you have good set of tires, I think it's the one I was looking for. Have fun!
