I see the story now. Can't you switch the plates and drive back with the correct ones when you guys traded cars? If the police stop you, you have a bill of sale, so it should be ok.

All this plate swaping baffels my mind! I live in sunny CA where ther is almost no logic in the laws, however you must send in a release of liability upon sale of your car, the car keeps its tags... Seems simpeler than all this plate swaparoo!

no seraph couldnt do that because then the both cars would be driving with plates that dont match

The SVX wouldve had plates that came up to the Tbird and vice a versa
and I couldnt do that driving from MD to NY

Thought everyone would find this amusing.....

I got an email finally today....

Some of us are having to deal with various **** going wrong with this POS you sold me so dont get me started. You'll get your s#it.

So I responded .....

POS dude dont get me started ... you had every right to refuse the car as it sat I explained the car in detail and told you EVERYTHING I knew about it and you agreed and drove off with the car

I also gave you a great and extremely reasonable parts guy who would even work on the car (ok its up here but I made an effort) and gave you the number of the dealer and even the cell phone number of the salesman I got the car from (even though they werent the greatest either)

Stop acting like an immature teenager if you think a 13 year old car is going to be totally perfect you need to go to the Subaru SVX museum.

Stop acting so damn immature and send the information and the stuff which rightfully belongs to me.

I'm making no complaints about the car I got from you even though trust me I can probably go A-Z

More Drama for the holidays

Ha just for fun I'm making an A to Z list of whats wrong with the car he traded me just to be obnoxious so I can list my various things as well

Supposedly he spent who knows what $$ on a Turbo kit ( I wouldve had the car checked out top to bottom before doing that but thats just me)

He has no consistency in any of his stories on this board and also on the Thunderbird board in which he had the car originally posted that I recieved from him

He'd probably make a reservation to the museum then never show up or never call back to confirm

The thing with me is I know I got a used car I expect to put some $$ into it
(even though its just sitting now) I dont care if I have to put $1 or $5000 into it that's not my issue at all but hell before I go to bed....

here's my A to Z's on the traded car I got from him dont have J,X,Y or Z yet

Airbox not attached to the car pieces missing
Body work done to the car (no its not the original paint)
Chips in paint all over the hood
Dash clock is loose and cant adjust the time anymore
Exhaust pipes cut off (cant get it inspected)
Fading of paint on the roof
Glove compartment empty no manuals/documentation
Had the car registered to previous owners name & never retitled it
Intake not attached to throttle body
J
Keypads for remote start missing
Locks for wheels missing
Mufflers missing
Not running right misfire on #2 cylinder
Odometer/trip odometer dont work
Paint is bubbled on quarter panel
Questionable deal/mileage (he wasnt the legal owner)
Radio died first day I had the car
Seat ripped (waiting for the name of shop who has new one he paid for)
Trunk lid is repainted (it used to be red and key code is painted over)
Under car rattles like crazy
Visors need to be replaced (has glue all over one)
Wiper bottle leaks
X
Y
Z

I know you aren't very happy with him, but I think you are putting in way too much effort into this and starting to go down to his level.

Well anyway I'd like to say Happy Holidays to all who have spent the time to read and respond to this post (and of course those who havent as well)

Have a safe and happy to all !!

My latest response from him....

yes i did and I dont really regret it honestly. Thunderbirds are just as prone to problems as the SVX. i was just NOT expecting over 2 grand in repairs. And WHY would i be keeping your plate and the key fobs that do me NO good whatesoever? Why would I do that when u were so helpful with my requests? Dude seriously, I DONT have the stuff and as soon as I can get someone to either answer the door or answer the phone at the upholstery shop then it will get sent too. I need to get the SVX's seats in there for a reupholster anyway.

I apologize for my attitude but i am disgruntled but I dont feel its 100% you.

Makes no sense I responded does that mean you sent the stuff

OK, I might be stepping into something, but I have watched this exchange for some time.
There are 'ISSUES' that occure with leather interiors, There are 'issues' with cars that are over (2) years old, There are things that people accept in a deal, and things that they DO NOT!
Is the car Driveable, or not???
Is the $2,000. price CONSISTANT with the depriciation of a $30,000+ car over the time that we are dealing with?
Do you have the ABILITY, or the RESOURCES to correct the problems?
If not, Are you sure that you want to deal with anyone other than a salesman at a dealership?? and have any concerns with your purchase 'covered'??

I spent $4,500. plus tax for a car, had it TOWED to my shop so I could put another $1,000. in it BEFORE I could drive it anywhere, and feel that I got a good deal, cause the VALUE of the car exceeded the investment!!

His problem was not getting back his license plates that were on the car that he promised to send back as well as ..... It was a matter of what the guy did not do, not the value of the car.

Oh, and be careful not to step in that!!!

To add I had just changed the front seats they did not need to be reupholstered

Of course the car was driveable I drove it to Maryland from NY to meet him (despite the fact we were supposed to meet in Jersey)

His e-mails as confusing as they may be are all a smoke screen to either get me aggravated or pretend that he did something
