front driver seat removal problem

i need to remove a power driver's seat, but the seat won't move forward or backward, so i can't get to the rear bolts on the brackets.
any ideas on how to go about getting this seat out?

Maybe you can get a gear wrench on the bolt? This happened to me a few years ago but I can't remember what I did.

Hey B-rad does the seat move up and down at all or is it totally dead? If it is dead, why (wiring, car partly gutted, etc)? I made a direct battery connection to the seats wiring connection in the last one I junked to allow me to move the seat forward to get it out of the car

Can you jack it up and then use a long extension on a ratchet to get to the bolts?

Todd

Hey look, you have in front of the seat from below a small harness which sometimes when loose, can cause the seat not to move. the harness is located on the below right of the seat, if you can pull the covering carpet a little bit, you will see it. put is together and the seat will move again. otherwise you cannot do anything...

Sometimes when the seat is in the lower position (seat on the floor) this prevents the seat from moving forward or backwards.
