FOG light problem

I received the following message from andivic, one of the club members. It reads like this:

This is Andy....I have some problem with my car tonite after I installed the fog light..... The problem is my corner light and rear light won't go off after i turn the key off. and it will keep staying on unless i unplug the "lighting switch fuse".... Do you have any idea what could go wrong ?

I'm not sure if he is just changing the bulb or installing other fog lights. any ideas?

Interesting. If he's installing other fog lights, then, he sounds like he's tapped into the parking light circuit somehow. Has he tried the parking light switch to see if it turns the lights on/off? I don't really have any other ideas without more details.

It sounds to me like he's installing additional fog lights. My immediate response is, 'unplug 'em.'

<<I don't know what you're talking about.>>

If you ever trade in the Wisconsin term of "soda" for the Michigan term "Pop", You must turn in your Native Wisconsin certificate.

It's funny... In eastern PA where I'm from, people say "soda" (which is the term I'm used to) People in western PA (where I live now) say "pop." It's gotten to the point where I must say "pop" because people will act like they dont know what I'm talking about when i say "soda" It's really quite irritating.

(end whining)

In the south, we call it coke. Yep, doesn't matter the brand, it's all coke. Of course, you can get an Orange or Grape Coke, but any Cola is coke. Of course the Lemon Lime varieties go by their known names, but, the preferred Lemon Lime, in the south, is "Bubble-Up."

Fog light problem SOLVED

I received this reply from andivic:

"Thanks for the prompt reply, I found out the answer why my corner lights and back lights stay on when I turned my key off-- I pressed the "parking light" by accident, that's why the lights were on.

Well,I am installing new set of fog light (2 big round fog lights from 2002 legacy outback) and the only thing left is I need to get some washers to adjust the pattern... I am glad it came out great... I will show you pictures shortly."
