That's OK. Of course it opens up a whole bunch of Iowa humor, but i won't go there! As for the contest it will have questions on a wide range of automobilia, from out right car questions to people and places. I can't wait to get started.

OK we have 17 signed up. Again here is how it works. A question worth 1-3 points will be posted. ONLY those signed up will PM thier 1 guess. Everyone who gets it right gets the point(s) and the updated standings will be posted with the next question.

OK, we will be playing with these 18. I will post a question, then ONLY the 18 listed can PM thier answer. The correct answer will be posted with the standings shortly after. DO NOT POST anything on this thread. Let's try and stay in control. It will make it much easier on me and the players. So here we go. For Ron an old question to start.
#1. Oldsmobile was the first domestic car company to bring a turbocharged car to market for general consumer purchase. Name the model and what car company made the original motor before turbocharging. (2 points)
ONLY those 18 can score, and again please, do not post here.

OK, 7 in so far. One other thing for the remainder. Please title your answers by question number, and no receipts please, you'll never guess how long it takes to delete those on dial up.

Still need answers from 7 contestants. Question #2 will be posted Saturday night and the correct answer for #1 will be posted as well.

OK, the answer for #1 is the 1962 Oldsmobile JetFire. It used a Buick engine. There were some close answers and some outlandish ones, but here is the standings after question #1:
Ron Mummert - 2pts
Jnthn Sctt - 2pts
everyone else - 0pts

Question #2:
Porsche was actually a design winner for a WWII German tank. What was the model called? Looking for the only tank actually built wholly by Porsche design, not the Porsche turrets on Panther II's or Royal Tiger's. (3 points) Questions must be in by Tuesday night. Good Luck.
