Power light

Is is suppose to come on when you start the car?

Also,

I noticed my car went through some antifreeze on my trip from Indy to Seattle...and I smell that "antifreeze smell" that you get if the car is leaking it or using it...... I see NO leaks...

Any thoughts guys?

The power light is supposed to come on for a few seconds right after start up. It is NOT supposed to blink though. If it's blinking, you have a transmission problem (the number of blinks indicate the problem you have). Somewhere on this site is a list of what all the blinks mean.

If it is not coming on at all, the bulb is burned out. I would replace it if I were you so that you will know if a problem exists with the tranny.

As for the antifreeze, it's possible that it is leaking from a spot that you can't see......maybe even leaking onto something else on the car and not leaving any drips on the ground. It's also possible that you are burning antifreeze, and that's why don't see any leaks.
