Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss

has anyone tried this stuff?
i bought some tonight and i'm going to go wash and wax the car in the dead of night, and the beautiful lack of solar rays beating on the car, hopefully leading to a better shine... besides if i can't fix the car i might as well make it look good

nu finish is actually very abrasive, so that's why it lasts all year

Just outta curiosity what does being abrasive have to do with lasting all year? Its a topical coating.

Stay on topic, no going off on tangents about your topical creams...

it has a medium harsh abrasive in the carrier liquid to remove oxidation, then it's protection formulation is that of a lower-end polymer (not wax) - that's what gives it a year's length protection.

there are readily available polymers in most chain auto parts stores that do not have abrasives, i.e., Liquid Glass and Meguiar's NXT. Liquid Glass does have a mild solvent-based cleaning ability. The polymer generally thought to be at the top of the 'food chain' is Zaino's.

it's been posted before, but maybe it's time for it to show up again....the site below is a forum centered on car detailing.

well all i can really say is that it's shiny

it should probably be tested on a car w/ better paint, but man can you see how poor my paint is now riply, scratched, orangepeely

overall though it's a VERY deep shine, i like the way it looks better than the zymol, the depth is just amazingly more than the zymol

yeah yeah zaino blah blah 90 bux for polish, i ain't spendin 90 bux on polish for the paint that's on that car... only about 90% of it is left, a gravel truck or something took the rest of it

i'll stick to my 7 dollar turtle wax stuff...

You don't need a whole day. I did mine in about 1/2 hour yesterday. You have to know the right tricks. If the weather is good, I'll do it again today.
