New Subaru Crossover

Well, it looks like the new Subaru corporate front is here to stay;

I have a couple thoughts about this.

First of all, I think it's pretty neat. It kind of reminds me of the New Porsche and VW SUV's. I think they're going after VW's thing with this.

Secondly, I think they're making a mistake with this styling direction. It may be a bit "out there" for american buyers. There are those die-hard subaruers who will buy this car simply because it's a subaru, but as far as luring people away from the competitors, i dont think it'll be happening with this design.

I agree with mike. I think this will appeal to a very small group of people out there. mostly a subaru mini-cooper wagon lover .

musings from the GM boardroom

Q: So, how do we make the Pontiac Aztek even uglier?

A: Give it an Edsel grille treatment and label it a Subaru.

Brilliant!

The article claims that the front-end styling was first seen on the B9SC. That model may have been more recent, but the styling was, without a doubt, first unveiled on the B11S. As I understand it, that concept made a much bigger splash than the B9, so I don't understand the confusion.

send them your thoughts here:

Altho probably a waste of time, I told them the Mazda rotary symbol grill sucks big time - hoping alluding to Mazda would be enough to put them off.

I'd rather drive an OMNI

I hate these crossover SUV / AMC Eagle / Chevette concoctions that are popping up everywhere.

I saw the Cadillac Mini-SUV parked on my street over the weekend. What an insult to the Cadillac badge! The Porsche SUV? Don't even start me on that one...

such a shame - and i even think the bug-eyed WRX's look good.
