Finnish Tires

Mr. Pockets,

What was the brand name of that Finnish snow tire that you raved about when you lived in Vermont? I can't seem to remember the name. As I get older, I think the "gray matter" in my head is turning a that bright shade of yellow that Randy seems to like so much.

Some of you thought that my brain was just full of sh**. Now I find that it is full of nothing.

Larry III
PS: Mr. P. can you send that Reading I montage photo back to me, so I can have copies made in time for Reading III.
Thanks Nick.

Is it Nokian? I know it's similar to the cellular phone brand.

Larry,

The tire brand is Nokian. Their snow tire line seems to have changed. It looks like the NRW was replaced by the Hakkapeliitta Q. Above that is the probably-illegal-in-most-states Hakkapeliitta 2, with studs. Wait, no, it looks like they still have the NRW in some sizes. Odd, I don't see any tires in the size I have - 215/50R16.

Anyway, I have driven cars with NRWs on them and I found them to be fantastic. I've never tried Nokian summer tires.

As for the photo collage, as I said, I will finish the composite you asked me to do, and in time for Reading III - which I hope to attend. I apologize for the delay, it simply got forgotten in the move.

Nick,

I think it's great that you & Amber are coming to Reading.
Rosie & I will see you there.

Hey now, I didn't say she was going to be along. I'm already dragging her to the 10th Anniversary meet - I doubt she has the patience for two events in a year.
