No, it's in the handle (the part you lift up) itself. It is a small rectangular IR eye.

Alarm problems

I dont have any problems with my alarm. OOOhhhhh wait the 94 L doesnt have an alarm. That exsplains why it never goes off when I open the door with my key. Some times I pretend I have one and I squalk really loud when I open the door. It's fun watching the reaction from other people around you. Traction isnt all that great in the wet either. I manged to find the problem there. The rear isn't working, because it doesnt exist.
