John,

Are you sure that you're up to an Auto-cross on Sunday morning after a romantic Saturday ?

Congrats to you and Trish.

The 9th or 10th are perfect. Could we even do both? Some of us could commute or get hotel rooms for the night. just an idea.

Saturday the 9th seems to be popular.

I have to confirm that there is nothing else going on at the facility that day (I have been out of the office for a couple weeks). If it is all clear, then that is the date.

John, I'm real sorry about the conflict, but the Mercedes Benz club autocross is already scheduled for the 10th, and Harry and I will both be there. Hopefully you can at least stop by for a couple hours.

Here are a few of the things I have planned; please chime in with more ideas if you have them:

Some sort of "competitive" driving event in the morning. Probably an autocross of some sort.

Lunch (the important part)

Steamed Crabs
Grilled Tuna Steaks
Seafood Pasta Salad
Eastern Shore Corn on the Cob (if I can find any)
Probably Cole Slaw or similar
Soda, Beer, and Box-O-Wine

After lunch, I though we could drive up to Fort McHenry, get some real nice photo ops, and tour the park. It is about a 2 minute drive. There is an admission fee to the fort (not the park though).

It would also be cool to station someone on the foot bridge over Light Street with a camera and take the SVX caravan up Light Street in the middle of the day. That would only take a few minutes, too.

There are tons of museums and other attractions within 10 minutes of the event site.

What do you all think? Saturday the 9th of August, 10 AM until whenever.

I will check in here when I get home.

Oh yeah, for those of you who are looking for something to do on Sunday, come on out and watch the Mercedes Benz club autocross. It is a good time, and you get to see lots of cool cars, including Harry Newmans sweet red SVX.

Sorry, Mike, but I attended the Phillips grand opening this afternoon. Yeah...I ate all the crabmeat.
I'm sure Larry won't mind hot dogs.

Did you drive around to the back of the building?

No need to pay up front, I'll pay for it and collect at the event.

I actually have rather considerable sushi making skills. A little too much work for a cookout, though. You can have your tuna grilled rare, though I'll bring the soy sauce and wasabi.
