Tires
Does anyone have a good internet source for new tires. I need a set (probably Yokohamas). They appear to be much less expensive on the net than from tire stores.

Or www.tires.com
Remember that you're going to have to pay to get the tires mounted and balanced, and may have to pay shipping. That can eat up any savings from buying online. I usually research tires at tirerack.com and tires.com, and then I usually buy at Discount Tire (the local outlets for tires.com). I may pay a little more (about $12 total the last time I did it), but I get free balancing, rotation, and repairs, all done locally. If I bought the same tires at tires.com, I'd only have the option of sending a ruined tire back to them for replacement. I was going to buy online once, and was really surprised how the savings disappeared once I figured in the mounting, etc.

Sears has pretty good deals.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...e/fd3cdc25.jpg Those are yokohama A550Vs. They were on sale last time I went, only 109 each. They're Z rated, high performance radials but they're touring tires, so they're supposed to be excellent in the snow as well. They work awesome in rain. I've had these on my last car (neon) and loved them so much I bought some for the SVX. Didn't regret it. - Ca$h |
