Radiators interchangeable?

So my svx is over heating sporadically. I believe it's time for a radiator. Was wondering if any other subarus are interchangeable?

Re: Radiators interchangeable?

I don't think so. Excellent Chinese made rads are available dirt cheap.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SILLA-7420A-...f6db6e&vxp=mtr

I and many other members have been running them for years.

Re: Radiators interchangeable?

The SVX radiator is unique. Go with the ebay rads.

Re: Radiators interchangeable?

That's what I thought.
I am gonna do a head gasket thru the coolant before buying a new radiator.

Thank you

Re: Radiators interchangeable?

Correct me if wrong but thought various posts said Silla rads were prone to failing after a few months and lacked the internal tranny cooler circuit..?

I have a Silla that I installed in October, and it has yet to fail or show any signs of such.
Also, it does have the tranny cooler circuit on the bottom, which one day one of the nipples backed out and pissd ATF everywhere. I just cranked it back on and no problems since then.

Edit: The nipple that back out was the same one I had replaced a leaky hose on the day before.

Re: Radiators interchangeable?

I guess it depends on which batch you get. I just replaced a Silla because the last one started leaking after 2 months. The new one has been on about 3 weeks now. So far so good... I'd feel better with a PWR radiator. Of course it costs almost 4 times the price of this Silla.
