The only thing that will make it SEEM to be colder is to depress the CIRC on the climate control. This will allow you to re circulate air, that has already been cooled, throughout the cabin. In the normal position, fresh uncooled air is brough in from the outside, cooled and then exits the car. .

Re: air conditioning
If you don't feel a differene when it is at 65 when the car is warm, it sounds like it is not working and needs a recharge. Good luck.

Yeah a recharge or a few other things.. I had mine recharged twice last year and it's warm again this year. Some kind of compressor needs replaced or something.

Re: air conditioning
On a normal a/c ststem if you measure the temperature coming through the vents it is usually 55-60. The 65 is cabin temperature.

Re: air conditioning
65 degress should be freeeezzzing cold. What year car do you have?..92' is
R12 and must be retrofitted to R135A (expensive) 93' on, are all R135A (still expensive, just not as bad) If A/C is R135A and working, just not real cold, probably leaking and not to hard to fix. A/C shop and bit the bullet on the bill. |
