Re: Starter Replacement

Glad to help it went better than I thought all the little stuff was done before I got there it was pretty much the bottom bolt and then throw the new one in and fit everything back together. Definitely faster with 2 people. It also helps that I have small hands

I am sure sometime in the future I will need a hand or something like photos for verification that could help me out so it was good meeting someone else from the forum.

hmm, thats funny then because both my laguna as well as my claret both had 14mm. And I can't remember what the silver had when i tore into that one. I stand very much corrected though

Guess we'll have to start an investigation. 14mm would make sense to me as all of the trans/engine bolts/nuts are 14mm. But you never know...

well, most of the engine trans bolts/nut are 14-12-10 mm, i have yet to see a 17mm nut on the lower bolt/stud on the starter.

Re: Starter Replacement

the few I have seen are 14mm, but when I have had to replace a nut or bolt here and there the size changes depending on the metric bolt kit.
