Request to admin...
I somehow clicked on the "street racing / kill stories" section of the forum. The sad story caught the eye, so I did a little googling on that. It looks like the conclusion at the end of the story is somewhat different from what it really ended with. Could admins update that page?
The principal driver at fault, Mark Lazinka, was sentenced to 30 years and will be eligible for parole (and yes, driving again - perhaps with more DUIs) in 12 years: http://www.boiseweekly.com/boise/laz...ent?oid=927346 He'll be 57 by the time he may be paroled, which is far from "his usable life will be over by the time he gets out of prison". The other defendant, Cam Hall, is well off playing football in the CFL. He even had the reckless driving charge against him dropped, and only convicted of leaving the scene of accident. Doesn't look like "his promising life will also be worthless". http://www.tri-cityherald.com/1358/story/225440.html In the latter article, Hall even states: "I've told this to a million different people, but as much as I run through my mind what happened that night, I don't know what I could have done differently." Not much sign of a remorse, IMHO. Sad end to a sad story
