Re: What did you do this weekend?

Cleaned and painted brake shields, surrounding components, rebuilt and painted calipers, installed OT's brake kit (and sweat, ~95F )

Re: What did you do this weekend?

went out and bought two of the Hillman brass #235 inserts so i could do the "$2 visor fix" and came across a surprise.
my visors sagged but nothing was broken, like there is in the 'how-to docs' file.
after some problem solving i decided that the tiny metal spacers that slide into the brackets that go over the rotating arm on the visor were not fitting as tightly as they would have had they been new.
so i made a few spacers out of strips of copper and wedged them in there (did not take pics of this sorry)
but they dont sag anymore

visor arm, brackets, and metal spacers:

hot glue gun was handy, not one for stitching (looks better in person):

Rob. Who taught your EVO class? I did the Ph I and Ph II last year in my SVX. First time either instructor had driven an SVX and both were impressed by the cars torque and handling (I did have the Koni/GC package and was on my Hankook RS-2's (Ph I-Saturday) and RE-070 (Ph II-Sunday) tires). Robert Carpenter and Jean Kinser were my instructors. Learned a TON and really enjoyed my time

oh, btw I charged the battery in the SVX and started it up-woo hoo

Re: What did you do this weekend?

I stuffed a huge set of metal air horns from an old mack truck into the passenger fender of my svx.
They are scary loud. But I need to install a relay for them to get to their full potential. They were even louder when I tested them straight off the battery.

Re: What did you do this weekend?

Had an SVX meet/BBQ

Helped a friend purchase his first SVX!

Replaced brake pads on friends SVX

Patched the crack in said friends new SVX (it developed within hours of buying the car....)

Removed radiator from my ebony while it sits to put in friends SVX.

Patched new crack that developed in my radiator (while in friends car of course...)

Bought new front engine oil seals.

Bought new single piece crank pulley.

Next weekend is timing belt/oil seals/anything else for my '95
