I'll have 350hp this weekend
http://columbus.craigslist.org/car/668058241.html Just graduated conductor school down here in Atlanta for my new job on the railroad and am buying myself a present. I plan on having 500rwhp by next spring, for the price it costs to make an svx a little less slow (flamesuit initiated). Still keeping the silver turd as a daily though.

I can see 400 at the wheels easy enough, but are you going with some juice or what to get 500? FYI the auburn diff is weak and won't handle that kinda power for long.

I was, but $22k for a slow car with an overpriced aftermarket lost my interest quick. Turbo kits for z's are $6k-$8k and only make 350-420hp. So, $30k for ~400hp or $11,500 for 350hp and a much, much higher potential (and t-tops ). Hmm. Also always wanted a WS6, just never realized they could be found so cheap anymore.

That's fantastic. I almost traded in the SVX for a Trans Am back in '04. The burbly sound they make is fantastic. I don't see enough of these cars.
Fantastic.

I'm not going to slap in two big bottles and call it a race car, it's going to be a long project built from the base up. A good friend of mine has a procharged formula and I want to go the same route - one step at a time

Oh well what about putting a ls6/ls2 sb2 into a svx for the fun of it?

Test drove it today, then my buddy let me drive his 600rwp firebird to let me know what a procharger feels like. I love the feeling of having my eyeballs pop out the back of my skull . Anyways the car's in mint condition, absolutely loved it. Picking her up this week sometime.
