Some advice needed please~!

O.k I am running into a bit of problem.

First off, My passenger side fan is broke. I mean I will take a picture later but basically one of the X pillars is broke in half. I was going to replace it but I can not get it out. OT kindly got me a new one but like I said I can't Get it in because I cant get the old one out without removing the radiator. Can I leave that one fan unplugged till I can get the new one in?

Second, my Dipstick for my oil keeps popping up. I think some oil has leaked out of it. Anyone know why it does this?

Third, and probably the most important. When my car is cold and I must leave before I can five it a chance to really warm up, with in the first 1/2 mile I have to stop from leaving my house because of a light and when it stop my car seems to Literally shake its self off. It shakes really bad. I am concerned because it doesn't start right back up. It takes a minute of sitting there before it will start back up. this is most problematic as well, people are behind me.

And OT, I think its time I get the engine resealed, >.> Can I pay you in some spare parts? Rear Brake calipers rear Tail light, sun visor, even got a 92 Acura Integra with blown head gasket :P(j/k I want to part that crap out) But What I am saying here is What kinda price am I looking at ; ; I know my rack and pinion is leaking but that part is extremely expensive and no one has a FWD model one. I need my SVX checked out. After tax time tbh. But Any advice from anyone would be great.

I know it is possible to remove the fans without removing the radiator. I watched it being done on my car a couple times. It didnt look easy, but it was possible.

My oil dipstick also pops up, I was told it is because of either the PCV valve or the O-ring at the top of the dipstick needing replaced.

The dipstick is because of the O-ring. I got one from OT and it hasn't popped out since.

The pass fan is harder to get out than the driver's side. I took the driver's side out first and then shimmied the pass. side over and took it out through there. Also, when looking at mine I noticed that they can be interchanged for each side. All you have to do is switch the plug location to the opposite side of the fan frame.

Yes, I will 2nd that - if you replace the O-ring on the dipstick, it will stop moving up.

If there isn't any other way, remove the radiator to get the fan in. It isn't that major of a job and will be much easier to do then.

(of course, it is easy for me to say that about the radiator when it isn't me that has to remove it.)

the fan on the pasanger side...

...is real easy to remove.
Pull it right out the bottom after taking out the 2 bolts and unplugging the electrical connector.
(I would also suggest jacking up the front of the car and removing the abs shield that protects the underside front of the car)
Seriously, it will come out easy from the bottom.
Take care,
Keith

My SVX was doing the same thing you described in the latter part of your post for the longest time. I would have to let it warm up for 5 or 10 minutes and it was ok to drive and worked perfectly, but if you tried to crank it up and just drive off it would shake badly and smoke would come out from under the car unless you drove it as gentle as a baby till it warmed up. Oddly enough it would even pop the oil dipstick out too!

I did a lot of research on this forum at that time and tried quite a few things. Cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve did the job for me, as it was sticking. I guess the car wouldn't run right until the car warmed up and computer took control.

Are you getting any check engine light codes? Maybe we can compare more symptoms..

No I am not getting any codes which is weird because I thought I would with it doing that. I think my SVX is kinda run down but not having any codes (yet). I need to get my engine resealed as my Rear Main leaks and then goes on something and creates a smoke screen. Well it will smoke sometimes. Very frustrating, makes my car look bad .
