If the car is making a clanging sound while it's running, then it is your flex plate. I'd recommend a new one, the last time I bought one it was about $30.

The part number is 12332AA052.

exellent , any ideas about the time needed to chage it ?

yeah its a clank sound when your accelerating it deosent do it ... just when idle and its a hell of a clank ... its not comming from the engine , its near trany ... thats what a garage told me ...

You either need to pull the engine or the transmission.

If your SVX is an automatic, then a factory Subaru replacement is not a bad price.
If you have a manual transmission the choises are many.

On an automatic, the ring gear is on the torque converter.

Thanx to all ! It was the flex plate , almost in 2 pieces ... But my baby will be ok in 1 hour ... 8 new bolts + flex plate + I dont know what it is ( O ring or something , maybe a spacer .. ) 100$ Cad With shipping included . Almost 8 hours of work ... But no more clig clang ...

Now for the Stebro exhaust .....
