Question thinking of buying svx 97

Hello all!!
I love the look of this car and have a deposit on a Black 97 for $15,000
It has 58k on it and is mint so I'm told. I read a lot of negative stuff on the trans.Would I need to aftermarket stuff still. Was this all fixed by 97? I don't feel like buying a tempermental high maintenance car. If this is that please be honest and tell me that It would be wise to look elsewhere. If 97's are cool I'm all over it.
thanks so much for any advice!!

NO! RUN! RUN FROM THAT CAR AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!

Now, where did you say it was located?

Just kidding. I'm wondering if that is Bunny's car. The one she tried to sell for 17K here not too long ago? I remember drooling over the pics.

Your 97 tranny should be okay. They'd pretty much gotten the bugs out by then. Overall, if you're gong to have an SVX, a 97 is your best bet. Still wouldn't hurt to add an aftermarket cooler as cheap insurance. Or, some swear by synthetic tranny fluid.

Bottom line is, be good to her, and she'll be good to you. She won't be any more high maintenence than any other car if you just treat it right.
