What hoses me of Nik is that during the debate of years ago, which caused me to leave, you I and a couple of others were having a real fun, informative, ding dong go in good spirits and this was all spoiled by one anus hole.

It shouldn't happen like that on cars with electronic fuel injection because when you turn the key off, the computer stops squirting the fuel in.

I think everyone is missing the real point here . . . It's an SVX and wants to be driven, not parked!!!

Ignition switch sounds plausible, I've read several threads discussing how our ignition switches seem to be a weak link.

To be honest, it has to be the ignition switch. Without the switch on the engine gets not spark or fuel. Period. so do what Trevor said and use some lubricant for those contacts. If that doesn't help, buy a new switch

In the meantime to get the engine to stop running try shutting the ignition off while still in gear.
