it will be fixed as soon as I find the parts. My transmission guy does not deal with many suby manuals as they are good transmissions for the cars they are meant to be in. When i get my new parts and finally convert over to a hydroulic style clutch, I will probobly be selling many of my 5mt conversion parts like my X-member, pedals, driveshaft, and transmissions. If anyone is interested and wants me to get sopme stuff together, let me know I may be of some help.

Here is where all the trouble is

Does anyone have an extra cupler laying around? I could sure use one to make trans nice a pretty again. Also, would this be causing my 1st and second gear whines?

Tom

I'm a little lost? Why all the pics of the front diff? You ripped the spiders in the center diff? Damn! I had a spare but I welded it up for Phil to make a RWD SVX

Ha ha ha! You're a funny guy.

I'll give you a call in a bit to see how the swap is going! I should have some preliminary 4.44 4EAT numbers for you by Friday evening.

those were just the pics showing the condition of the front half of the transmission. The problem was with the spiders in the center diff as shown in the last pic. Anyway under further investigation of the case i have ultimately decided to scrap the trans.

I just finished ceaning the shop @2:30 after an extensive test drive
I am purely delighted with the new transmission although there is a very different feel to the shifter. With proper driving, this trans will last me another 500 miles Anyway, the good news is, My beast is running again and probobly stronger than ever. Im off to track on thursday for some good runs and good fun.

Thanks!! I am sorry i kinda was distracted but that was the point in the night where I was getting antsy to drive me baby again. There is still a minor whine from 1st and second but nothing compared to what my old trans did. The shifts are smooth and downshifts and crisp. No grinding what so ever. When I drained all the fluid out of the trans i noticed it was surpisingly clean. I hope this is a good sign that this trans will be in good shape for a long time. As long as I don't break it.

Tom
