hitting the big 90

I hit the big 90K miles today. I am happy about that. While hitting that 90K miles, I nearly died. A lady in a minivan (with a kid in the back seat) under an asthma attack, decided to nose dive her minivan into my car -- both of us are going at a good 80 mph. I went onto the shoulder AND the grass and back on the road and finally regain control of my SVX. And she did not even slow down to wave. I followed her and eventually (about 5 miles later) pulled over. I asked her what happened and she started yelling at me saying that she had an asthma attack and that she did not hit my car so I as being an ass for wanting an apology. Great day!

I have a feeling I need a roll cage and cow guards all around my SVX now. That was a close call since at one moment while I was trying to get the SVX under control (from over steer), the car was aiming at the gas tanker. phewww.....

At least you didn't hit the truck or go off into a pole! Jeepers, your guardian angel must have developed rapid heartbeat over that one.....great to hear you're O.K.

Sounds like you are lucky. Glad that you are OK.

If you can, pursue the lady in law. Not for compensation. She either needs to get herself fixed, or recognise that she has a problem.

I was shaking for at least 15 minutes. Now it's all sinking in. If she did not tell me that she has asthma and she did not have a kid in the back, I'd probably pull her out and smack her head a couple of times for endangering people on the roads. Now that I think about it, even if i got hit, the cars behind me might have hit me and caused a bigger accident

Some people do need to be in passenger seats. -- Oh and get a car with ABS. 94/5 L does not come with ABS -- so... I guess watching that cop show on how to drive a non ABS car on discovery does help.

ps. While the car is going out of control, my only fear was hitting that tanker. It never felt like it was going to make a 180 or topple over. Amazing car!!!

The '95 L has Anti-lock brakes.

I stand corrected -- I did not know that. I thought both L s did not have ABS
