Scarey Sighting - Bethlehem, PA

My friend who goes to school in Bethlehem, PA sighted this SVX, and took these pictures. He told me about it before but I didnt believe how bad it was, so he went back and took pics for me. This kind of thing should be illegal.

Must live in high water country. That would be the only reason to install outriggers.

Pardon me while I go YAK!

scared me!

I was the one who took the pictures. It was scary to see... I had never seen an SVX like that... please learn from this and don't do it to your car.

I personally like how they got the tree to match those classy wipers.

I think it's the nicest looking aftermarket wing that I have seen, as the original is hard to get. It isn't that bad.

How can you possibly tell that it has good paint job by those pictures. It probably doesn't even have that.

Winging it

I wish there was a way to use the computer to match all the wing types to an SVX and see which ones look the best. Personally, I prefer the car wingless, but I am open to the idea that some aftermarket wing might improve the one Subaru put on. I really like what SVT did with my Focus for example....a slightly larger lip spoiler that extends over the hatch from the roof. Subtle but very attractive.

Giugiaro's orginal design was wingless. I would love to see what he would have come up with if he had included a wing on the SVX.

It's the wipers that get me. I guess people have different ideas about what looks good on their car.

Holy cow! I swear to you all that is not my SVX!!! I've never seen that car around this neck of the woods before and I sure as heck would remember if I did. It could be the fact that's it's late and I'm tired and cold right now but just looking at that picture makes me shudder.

Scott, how long have you had your SVX? It's good to have a club member as such a close neighbor. PM or email me (johnny@cigarjohnny.com) if you are interested in getting together sometime to compare notes or help eachother out with our cars. We're starting to get a handfull of members in our area. We need to start socializing!
