Svxt-6

Hi people,
I'm Phil and I'm new to this group as I'm doing extensive reasearch on the SVX. My plan is to make an XT-6 with a nice little SVX motor snuggly under its hood. The car I have is currently a front wheel drive XT-6 with and automatic transmission. I do understand that this will be a METRIC TON of work, but hopefully in the end I will have a 5-speed 3.3 Litre XT-6 and maybe it'll pick up some recaros on the way. ANYONE that can help I am always ready to listen to: Scientist, owers, operatiors, crazy guys, nut jobs, or even just your average joe. It'll be fun and in the end, the benefits will be great and will make for a cool pic! Thanks in advance,
~Phil

WOW that would be a major mod. You may get more response in the MOD section. Would this XT-6 be lighter? You have an XT-6 with a good body? Does it still have air suspension?

Hello,
Good idea thanks about the mod post. The XT-6 weights about 2100 lbs and it is FWD only. It never had an air suspension. I was looking at doing what SVX people do and get a legacy or impreza 5-speed FWD and make it bolt to the 3.3 Then I would rip out all the electronics from the computer to the motor and replace it with SVX stuff, then mod the dash things. I think this thing will haul...

Hello Phil,

Did you mean 2800lbs instead of 2100lbs? The XT6 weighs around that much. It could've been a typo. The XT4 (or just XT) 4 cylinder weighs around 2450-2500lbs.
