Re: Windshields

At the very least it's nice to know we have the stock windshield with molding still available. I have a 92 claret (originally) so I have the bronze windows, I am thinking a light tint to the windshield would make the car uniform no?

I don't believe it is legal to put any tint onto a windshield other than the top 5 or 6 depending on the state. Tinting the windows will eliminate the contrast.

Far as I am aware only 2 states allow windshield tinting, and only 70%

North Dakota and Ohio I believe. And the law is vague they may only mean the top of the windshield though as stated they imply the entire glass.

As stated, not really a great idea to tint the windshield. At minimum it'll make driving a little more annoying, and probably just draw annoying questions from police.

However, a mild tint to the rest of the windows would help to disguise the windshield having a different colour.

Re: Windshields

in colorado you can tint the top several inches, there is usually a very small mark on the windshield with an a down arow and s1 next to it indicating that below that point can not be tinted. that being said i tinted the top of my windshield once (not on svx) and was surprised by the amount of light it cut out from the car. great during the summer days, terrible in winter or night of any season.
