Wanted: One Dead Alternator
.
I am in need of just one dead alternator. I cannot discuss the specifics at the moment, but its purpose would directly benefit the network. Ironically, I have a dead alternator in my SVX as we speak! I was about to post something asking if anyone has any good alternators for sale. If you, by any chance, have any working ones laying around, I'd happily buy the good one and send you the bad one when I swap it.

Maniac Electric Motors has once again run out of alternator cores Thet had a recent surge in alternators, but the core returns have not come back yet OPTION 1 If you have a dead, non-working alternator, and do not need another one, they will buy it outright for $40.00 cash. Contact them at 972-557-5768. They will send you a UPS Call Tag to have the alternator shipped to them at their expense (no cost to you) They will either send you a check or put the money into your paypal account. OPTION 2 The other option is if you have a non-working alternator, and are considering getting another one in the near future, you can send it to them as an "advance core". They will still send the Call Tag for shipment, but will not send you any money. If you decide to get an alternator from them, you will pay the lower price as they already have received core from you. The advantage of this is that you may want a high-output unit and your present alternator is still in good working condition-- so why send it to them? Just send a dead one to them in advance (worth a $60.00 credit towards a new one). Order one of theirs at the core-returned, lower price, get it, install it and sell your working alternator to someone who needs it. This is what I did. Maniac Electric needs to have a supply of SVX alternator cores on hand to rebuild alternators for us in a timely manner (currently they have none in inventory). If you need one, they can turn-around one for you in two days, provided they have cores in stock. Use whatever option that works best for you: $40.00 outright or $60.00 towards a rebuilt one of your choice. Again their number is 972-577-5768. call them for further questions or information.
