Unhappy New Radio -Need a Wiring Diagram-

Hey everyone, i just purchased a fancy new radio because my stock radio pooped out. All i want to do is splice the damn wires in (I DONT WANT A HARNESS ADAPTOR) all i am looking for is a key or wiring diagram for the stock wires to the radio. It appears that some of the links that were on the GEO.... something or other don’t work any longer. I would really appreciate it if you have a wiring diagram or something of that sort, Thanks
sorry if i sound frustrated, its because I AM! haha Thanks in advance

Re: New Radio -Need a Wiring Diagram-

You don't need to splice in the wires, after you get the old radio out, find a small finishing nail that will fit into the female plug the radio was plugged into, then solder one on each wire on the end of the plug from the new radio.

Put a small piece of shrink tubing over the solder joint and cut the nail so about 3/8 will push into the svx harness plug.

Now just push each wire in for each connection you need.

I will try to find my copy of the color readout and post it here. - Ed

Here's the SVX radio harness pin out - scroll down on this page to
section 2.5: http://ae64.com/AudioInstall-2.htm#2...adioConnPinout

Column "B" are probably the colors of your new radio harness.

Insert pins into the plug using the colors from Column "A"

Or splice the wires if you want, but soldering pins onto your new harness is much cleaner. - Ed

I just found what i used to make the "pins" - they were 7/8 x 17 wire brads.
