Wife's Outback got smacked (again)

Friday, as the senior van was hauling Grandma off to see her friends, the 'new' driver didn't know about 'Tail Slap'.
That is what happens when you turn hard in a vehicle with 6 feet of body past the back wheels.
Well, the back bumper of the bus grabbed onto the left front corner of the wife's Outback and ripped the front bumper cover, the fog light and a hunk of the left front fender off.
the driver said that he didn't 'notice' that he had contacted the wife's car, and went on about his business of hauling grand-mas and grand-pas to dinner.
I punched out at work to come home to meet the cop, then I took my pocket knife to slice off the remaining pieces of bumper cover so wife could drive the car.

About this car..... I have to damned near drive to Wal-Mart and find it in the parking lot to change the OIL!
She REALLY hates it when this car is not at her beck and call!
Now, it will be down for 3 DAYS in a ROW!!
I hope that she can survive the 'trauma'!

Got a call from the insurance co today. They are sending a check for enough that, since I OWN the repair shop, will allow me to go NUTZ on this car!
It is metalic black, but I will be adding pearl to the clearcoat. Wife has always wanted 'something different', so I have a few plans in mind.....
I am going to build a 'FLARE' that sits on a major highway!

Strange how sometimes inconveniences can turn into opportunities, eh?
