Question trans fluid level

i took the car to the local dealer for some work and while it was there i had them install a new filter in the trans. i assumed they knew what they were doing. trying to troubleshoot a noise in front i decided to check the level and lo and behold i ended draining about 5 qts from the pan what is the worst that can happen after driving like this for about 7k miles? thanks dennis

Significant Technical Input
Re: trans fluid level

You don't want to know. Just be glad you figured it out and that it's still working.

Re: trans fluid level

thanks lan. i can only hope now that there is no permanent damage. i'm guessing the noise up front is related to this. this is what i get for being lazy and not doing the filter change myself.
