Looking for a 4.11/4.44 swap for my 3.545

Okay, so this may be a strange or even a misguided request. I would really like to throw in 4.11 or 4.44 gearing, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has either of these and wants to switch back to stock (if, say, you're swapping your 4EAT for a manual).

I would just get the 4.44 4EAT and diff, but I can't spend that kind of money right now so I thought I'd throw this out there and see if there are any takers. I'm not really looking for a new 4EAT as mine is in good working order (not that I'd mind swapping my whole tranny and rear diff for 4.44/4.11s in similar working order, though).

Budfreak has a 4.11 front diff for sale for $300 shipped. Contact him at www.svxworldforums.com or at svxparts@aol.com.

That's a good idea, but I really don't want to pay anything near a few hundred bucks. For that, I could get a WRX 5 spd with a blown 2nd and order a new gear. Maybe I'll just wait and do that.

With all the Subies out in CO, it shouldn't be too hard to find a whole 4.11 or 4.44 tranny for that price in the yards.

Re: Looking for a 4.11/4.44 swap for my 3.545

Let me get this, you want to trade your stock tranny, and every other part related, for the full 4.44 setup? Tranny and all other related parts? PM me if so... May have a deal. I drove a stock SVX today, and I like the smoother ride over the harder shifts, and faster off the line. If this is what your looking for, I would consider a straight swap, my 4.44 setup, for your stock setup. Let me know what you think. Only issue is it is a 21 hour drive for either you to come to me, or me to come to you...
