Never have had to before. Also have never had to grease the coil boots either. Before this car, I had a 91 Legacy which had a central coil.

This is something I always did to my small-blocks when i would work them over... Better to be safe than dirty twice

The car drives as bad as if not worse than before. This is really getting on my nerves. I changed air filters also when I changed the plugs, I doubt that has anything to do with it, but it's a bit of information as well.

I made every coil look like this picture:

I see nothing wrong with them as mine looked the same :P are you sure you didn't damage the gap or the spark plug by tighting too tight?

Did you try to isolate it to one cylinder yet?

I haven't tried that yet. Matt suggested pulling the injector wires. A good idea?

Definitely. My cousin is graduating tomorrow, so I won't be able to be there until later Saturday evening. I also won't be able to come up until the afternoon on Sunday.

This case may be closed. Hocrest noted at the show on Saturday that a leaking exhaust may be causing the problems I have. So, I filled the exhaust crack today and immediately the ECU threw a code 22 for knock sensor. I picked up a sensor and pulled out the old one and it was all cracked up. That may be the answer to my problem after all.

I hope that is it, but when I changed my knock sensors a few years back as PM they both looked like that. Car was running fine.
