You're looking at three alternatives right here. I did the hood for ~$50 complete, including ball studs, struts, washers, and acorn nuts. That's not far from the price of one OEM strut listed here, and the next time I replace them, it'll only be $32, with off the shelf parts!

This thread (and How-To) is useless without correct part numbers.
BTW, the correct NAPA part number for the struts in the how-to is BK8195581.
