How many O2 sensors do we have
I want to replace mine. I have a '92, not sure if there's a difference between obd1 and 2 svx's.

OBD 1 will have 2 sensors, bank one and bank 2. Both are pre cat. OBDII will have 4, bank one and two pre cat and one and two post cat.

I thought the OBD-II SVXi only had 3, with the third being the "check" on the two that are mounted before the secondary cats. The third is mounted after the primary cat since it's a two into one cat.

SVXride is correct.
OBDII cars have 3 O2 sensors. One before each pre-cat in the header pipes and the third mounted in the rear of the main cat. This third sensor is mounted in the rear of the cat and installed at the top, where replacement is difficult. The Magnaflow OBDII replacement 94037 cats have the O2 sensor mounted at the front of the cat (but still at the top, making replacement as difficult) The further back in the exhaust stream you can get, the cleaner the reading will be. When svxfiles redid my custom exhaust system, we installed the third O2 sensor into the exhaust pipe directly behind the Magnaflow 94007 main cat, which has no O2 sensor bung (this gave us the same cleaner reading as the stock position in the rear of the factory cat itself, but with much easier access in case replacement was necessary. .

They're both covered in oil.. looks to be coming from the front passenger side of the engine. I'm guessing cam seal, just replaced the valve cover gasket. Does anybody have a part number for one of them?

Ok, so it has three.... I'd forgotten.
The third is to monitor catalyst efficiency.
