Red face What the hell is this logo???

Who in the HELL came up with this ugly looking logo and keeping toyota on top of SUBARU.... So if toyota is brain (the main part) Subaru is at its feet??.... . If I ever came to know who designed this stupid logo, I would kill him/her.

It would be easy enough to reverse the logos.

Get to it.

Anyone else think it's cool that it's the OLD COOLER subaru logo that's used?

I have a drawer full of those badges (just the regular soob badge) I'm gonna put them on my SVX.

Perhaps it was meant to indicate that Toyota is superior to Subaru? In the image, you see that toyota is not the head of a woman, but the woman herself symbolizes toyota, and in riding subaru, would indicate superiority...

I wonder, since Toyota is basically at the helm of Subaru, I wonder if they're going to just going to suck all the life out of the cars as they did with their own line up.

First, they got rid of anything neat and sporty, bye bye Celica, bye bye MR2. Then they slowly but surely made each and every one of their cars ridiculously pedestrian.

But... Maybe Toyota will use Soob as their catalyst for a more sportier image. As is the whole lineup has a certain charm to it. The WRX being the power house, with the Impreza following close behind. The Outback has the rugged feel to it, while the Legacy has a simple elegance while still retaining a fun factor that Toyota has long since forgotten.

Hmmm... It's fun to pretend anyways. It'd be awfully neat if they tried to do the whole Alcyone thing again. Maybe this time around they could decide who the hell to market it to.

I'm just interpreting it as Toyota trying to ride Subaru's junk.
Damn gold diggers.

It means while Toyota's working on it's image with the people, Subaru is gettin' all the action

Also, Subaru assembles Toyota's new Camry...so make a picture out of that.

Positioning

Its all in positioning. I would rather be in the Subaru position.

Look, I'll agree with you that Toyota killed everything even remotely sporty in their line. I have an MR2, and I really wish they were still building them. There's nothing like it.

But Toyota is not 'basically at the helm of Subaru.' As I understand it, GM bought a 15% stake in Subaru some time ago. Subaru wanted money and GM wanted some of their technology. The two tried to build a car together and gave up. Once that failed, GM sold its 15% share in Subaru to Toyota. That's hardly a controlling interest.

Even if Toyota did buy more interest in Subaru and eventually controlled the company, I'd be much happier with that than if GM was doing the same. Can you imagine the Impreza and Cobalt sharing platforms? I bet GM could. Yuck.
