1992 Factory Wheels
Hi everyone, I don't know if this was covered before, but...I notice in most of the pictures I see for your cars, the factory Subaru wheels are like a brushed aluminum or satin silver finish. My 1992 has the same exact factory wheels, but are mirror finish chrome, you can brush your teeth in them. I don't know if I've seen any others like that. Can anyone clear that up? Also, why no cup holders? My 1992 Olds Trofeo has them. What do all of you do with drinks, or is that a no-no. Just curious. Thanks.

The factory wheels for 1992 were a dark silver color. The color lightened up a bit in 94. The previous owner of you car probly had them chrome plated...Ive seen a few pictures of it done before.
Also, the car DID come with cupholders...nobody has them anymore. the cupholder was a plastic insert in the center console (Not a very convenient cupholder location in the first place)

Someone at the 10th Anniversary meet had his wheels polished and clear coated. Looked as bright as chrome.

Most people looking for a functional cupholder have bought a "Wedge" at Walmart/Pep Boys etc...
It slides between the seat and the console and holds two cups nicely. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ighlight=wedge

The Wedgie is the best cup holder for the SVX. You can get them in gray, beige, and black.

I found the centerconsole storage area works great as a cupholder since when I bought it the lid was 99% off so I unthreaded the last couple of threads on the one remaining screw and have a perfect spot to put a coke or whatever. Just ah... don't panic stop unless you HAVE to
