Very cool.... but.... this is the ECUTUNE kit right? So for the $7500 supercharger kit, you only knock 1.5 seconds off the stock time? Am I correct here?
Why is this car so slow? I mean, it's fast for an SVX, but I was thinking a 400hp SVX would turn 12s. Am I wrong? PS: Not trying to insult this achievement, just thinking outloud. |

The supercharger isn't the issue. Its that the SVX hits a wall where you have to mod more and more and more stuff to get exactly where you are now, but prepare it for going faster.
No sense in putting on a 500WHP turbo or supercharger kit if you don't have the fuel, built motor, engine management, transmission, etc for it. Couple that with the supercharger guys having a real issue with getting enough blower to make big power and still fit under the hood, Its not suprising that a full wieght SVX with a street supercharger kit is only doing 13.9. More over without a built motor, I doubt alot more could be gained over the existing kit. With a built motor, and a cowl hood, one might assume a larger eaton or maybe one of the upgrade blowers for the 2003-2004 Mustang cobra could be used to push the limits of the car and bring home the fast time slips. |

Thank God someone finally knows what they are talking about....Stock SVXi usually run around the 15.5 -16.0 arear so you could say it dropped 1.5secs off a stock time... Also considering an auto that doesn't have to shift 5 times by the end of the 1/4 mile will run faster. But we are hitting a wall at 3500 RPM because we cannot clear exhaust gases well enough... But we have adressed all these issues in our built motor that will be comming very soon.
