swapping to legacy hubs good or bad idea?
with all the discussion re: fitting better brakes and wheels to the svx hubs
(at reasonable prices) is it possible or worthwhile to just swap out to legacy(my donor car) or impreza hubs? that way u can find brake kits for decent prices and wheels become a lot easier to source cheaper too...... i havent examined my legacy yet, but the biggest issue i can think of is the iron ABS wheels on the back of the svx hubs..... does the legacy have that too? or will swapping over simply mean plugging the legacy sensor into the svx wires, since it will be reading its original signal off its original configuration.....?

Search for the guy who swapped in STi stuff. It's virtually identical to your Legacy stuff.
Keep in mind that the shock mounting is different, so you would need to consider swapping them too or making adaptors. Matt |

thanks matt!!
i'm leaning now toward keeping the svx pieces and saving myself a bunch of effort that could be better spent elsewhere...... ps.......i'm FINALLY starting to make the rally svx a reality !!

SVX stuff is actually stronger all round...much better proposition for serious rallying.

good point !!
i am intending to beef up the chassis and subframes but leave the control arms stock its a lot easier to replace a bent control arm than a subframe!! rob"sacrificial anode"m.
